Dean Watson of DW Fencing approached Hampton Steel requiring suitable fencing combined with a metal post system for a solar farm in York.
Following the recommendations of David Beet, Hampton Sales Executive, and Julian Nugus at Nugus Fencing, Dean opted for StapleloK metal post and staple system and Hampton NET™ fencing 13/122/7.5 topped with two lines of barbed wire.
The fencing needed to retain sheep but prevent access by intruders, thus a horse net specification was decided upon. It was also a stipulation by the NFU that for the insurance, the solar panels be properly protected.
400 metres of strong Hampton Net™ fixed knot fencing was required to complete the project combined with 130 intermediate, StapleloK metal posts.
